Eason Chan denies retirement rumour

30 Jul – Eason Chan's manager, Katie, recently dismissed rumours of the singer's early retirement.

According to Sina's Daily News, previously, the singer sparked speculations with his statement during a show. "I still have two more albums before my contract [with Universal] expires. I really want to rest after I'm done. Or more correctly, I don't want to work."

The statement, coupled with Eason's recent confession that he is suffering from bipolar disorder, convinced fans that he has decided to retire from showbiz.

However, Katie recently dismissed such rumours, saying that Eason only meant that he would slow his showbiz activities down after working so hard in recent years.

"As his manager, I want to say that Eason hopes to explore different artistic elements after his contract expires. He just wants to rest, not retire," she added.
