Ekin Cheng is in no rush for a baby

25 Sep – While most of his colleagues and good friends are proud parents, Hong Kong actor-singer Ekin Cheng said that he is not in a rush to have a child of his own.

According to Oriental Daily, the actor recently attended a celebration event for his romantic comedy movie "Break Up 100" with co-star Chrissie Chau and director Lawrence Cheng.

Upon observed being attentive to a pregnant lady he welcomed on stage, Ekin, who ended his golden bachelor title by marrying actress Yoyo Mung last year, was asked if he was inspired to have a baby of his own.

"Let nature take its course!" said the actor. "I am not in a rush to have a baby."

Ekin also congratulates his "Young and Dangerous" brother Michael Tse, who is expecting his first child after nine years of marriage.

Upon reminded that the rest of his "Young and Dangerous" brothers - Jordan Chan, Chin Kar Lok, and Jerry Lamb are now fathers, Ekin joked, "That makes me special."

Meanwhile, in response to ex-girlfriend Gigi Leung's pregnancy, Ekin said, "I will congratulate her when I see her. It's a happy event!"

In unrelated news, director Lawrence Cheng revealed that he has plans for a sequel to "Break Up 100", and that both Ekin and Chrissie are up for it.
