Ekin Cheng performs for his late mentor
22 Dec – Hong Kong actor-singer Ekin Cheng was among the various stars who performed at the memorial concert held recently in celebration of the 70th birthday of late superstar, Roman Tam.
As reported on Oriental Daily, on 19th December, the singer, who is known to be one of Roman's former protégé, performed on stage alongside Jordan Chan, Jerry Lamb, and the Grasshopper to Roman's hit songs including "Good Song Dedicated to You".
Speaking of his mentor, Ekin said, "I am very honoured to be one of his students. He was the one who taught me to be serious in both work and play."
On the other hand, when asked to address rumours of wife Yoyo Mung's pregnancy, Ekin said, "She is not pregnant. I will definitely make an announcement if she is."
Aside from Ekin, other performers include Joey Yung, Joyce Cheng, Hacken Lee, William So, Louis Yuen, and Louis Cheung.
The concert was also attended by Roman's good friends: Eddie Lau, Connie Chan, and Pak Suet Sin.
