Ekin Cheng returns with a romantic song

20 Aug – It has been quite a while since Ekin Cheng released a love song, a fact that the actor himself admitted while promoting his new song on Commercial Radio on 18 August.

As reported on Mingpao News, the actor, who attended the radio interview alongside music producer Chan Kwong Wing, expressed hope that his new song "Used to It" will bring back the feeling to him, so that he can record more romantic songs in the future.

"I rarely record love songs, so I asked Chan Kwong Wing to write a song for me. I was able to get the mood only after watching "Break Up 100"," said Ekin.

He added, "I also thought of asking Chrissie to perform it. It would be great if she could sing."

"Used to It" will be released as a soundtrack for the aforementioned movie, co-starring Chrissie Chau and Ivana Wong. Other artistes who recorded songs for the movie and will be featured in the OST include Ivana Wong and C AllStar.

Ekin also expressed his concern that the Hong Kong market is lacking in original film soundtrack and commended the production of "Break Up 100" for its effort in making the record.

In unrelated news, Ekin revealed that he is currently busy preparing the 2014 "Young and Dangerous" concert, which will be held on 27 and 28 September at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
