Eun-jung departs from "Five Fingers"

25 Aug – It was reported that T-ARA member Ham Eun-jung has been advised and finally stepped down from the new SBS drama, "Five Fingers".

As reported on Dkpopnews website, a representative of the drama confirmed her departure, stating that the decision was made on 21 August through an emergency meeting. The rep stated, "We are having our first shooting on 23 August and the remaining casts will be shooting according to schedule. We are already on the lookout for a young actress to fill in Eun-jung's shoes."

Since the bullying controversy that has been plaguing the Core Contents Media girl group, many have been speculating about Eun-jung's departure from the drama. The production has been adamant about casting the singer, until the recent discovery that the controversy will hurt them from sponsorship viewpoints.

Koreaboo website reported that sponsors are concerned that the controversy will hurt the drama's ratings in the future. A rep from the drama stated, "Sponsors think that although Eun-jung might not hurt ratings, people still may not buy the products being advertised if she is in the drama. In the advertisers' opinions, it would be a waste."

"Five Fingers" focuses on a love triangle between Yoo Ji-ho (played by Joo Ji-hoon), Yoon In-ha (played by Ji Chang-wook) and Hong Da-mi (supposedly played by Eun-jung).
