Fish Liew has no confidence in winning

6 Apr – Malaysian-born actress, Fish Liew admitted that she was very surprised but delighted to be nominated at this year's Hong Kong Film Awards.

According to Oriental Daily, the actress, who starred in Ho Hong's directorial debut "Doomsday Party", stated that while she is extremely happy with the nomination, she has no confidence about winning the award at all.

"Aside from Du Juan and myself, others are very experienced actors," said Fish. "Angel Chiang is already a famous TV actress and Babyjohn Choi has worked in indie movies prior to his commercial success. So there's a lot of pressure."

The actress also hoped that the nomination will help her in getting her name out there and get more roles in future.

"In the past few years, there has been a lot of death and accident to the people I know. I am a pessimistic person and feel like my time is coming. So I have to hurry up and do what I want to do in life!" she added.

Aside from Angel Chiang, Du Juan and Babyjohn Choi, the actress will be facing "Young Detective Dee" star, Lin Gengxin in the Best New Performer category of the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards.
