Flame to reunite

7 June – Former Japanese hip-hop and urban boy band Flame will be reuniting for a mysterious 10th anniversary project.

According to Tokyo Hive, the band's official website revealed that the reunion would bring back Kitamura Yu, Noguchi Seigo, the Izaki twins Yusuke and Hisato, and past member Kaneko Kyohei together for an unknown 10th anniversary project that would happen in October.

Flame was formed and made their debut in 2001 with the release of their first single "Mune no Kodou", with members Kitamura Yu, Izaki Yusuke, Izaki Hisato and Kaneko Kyohei. After the release of their seventh single, Kyohei left the band to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Noguchi Seigo.

The band continued to release two more singles and albums before they officially disbanded on 1 March 2010, after all the members had left their agency Vision Factory.
