Ga-yoon's drama debut in "Light and Shadows"
6 May – It was reported that 4minute's vocalist Ga-yoon will be making her drama debut as a hit '80s singer in MBC's "Light and Shadows".
According to Allkpop website, the singer will be making her first attempt in acting by playing a character called Hyun-kyung – a leader of the 1980's popular group, "Purple Sisters".
Ga-yoon remarked, "It is an honour to be working with senior actors in this production. I am even more excited and looking forward to this role because my character is a singer."
She continued saying, "This will be my first time acting so I will be showing a new side to myself. I will be studying acting more closely and preparing to show a new fashion style based on the 80s fashion."
When asked on the decision to add Ga-yoon into the casts, the producers stated, "We were looking for someone who can sing, dance, has fashion sense, and someone with a cafe singer type of charm, so we looked into the main vocalists of performing groups. Ga-yoon will bring a new kind of energy to this production."
