Gigi Leung is not rushing for a baby
11 Jun – Like her ex-boyfriend Ekin Cheng's new wife, Yoyo Mung, Hong Kong singer-actress Gigi Leung revealed that she, too, is in no rush to become a mother, as she already has several house pets keeping her busy.
According to Groove Asia, the 37-year-old, who married her Spanish boyfriend Sergio in 2011, shared that she already has three pets; two kittens and one puppy, to take care of, therefore, there is no urgency for her to have a child.
"I don't mind being an old mother. Unlike the old days, the risk of being pregnant at an older age is lower due to the advancements in medical technology," the actress stated.
However, Leung also revealed that she is currently consuming Chinese medicine to prepare for her pregnancy. She also shared some pregnancy taboos with the media, such as traveling no-nos. Gigi stated, "Rumour has it that if you are trying to get pregnant, you must avoid traveling to the United States as your body may be subjected to radiation when the plane flies over the North Pole. Some of my friends told me that tropical countries are a holy place for those who want to get pregnant!"
