Han Sun Hwa & Lee Jun completely shatter people's concerns for their acting
People always show two very different reactions when they hear a news that idol stars are casting in new dramas. Their fans show huge excitement, expecting to find another side of them, while some others get concerned about their acting.
However, there are a couple of idol stars who completely shattered such concerns. They are none other than SECRET's Han Sun Hwa and MBLAQ's Lee Jun, who are each casting in channel SBS' 'God's Gift - 14 Days,' and channel tvN's 'Gap Dong.'
The entire series of 'God's Gift' was officially finished as of April 22nd, and Han Sun Hwa casted in the drama as a lovely girl named Jenny.
Jenny is an employee of the detective agency run by Gi Dong Chan(played by Jo Seung Woo), and she left a deep impression to the viewers from her very first appearance with her sexiness.
While she has been showing lovely and bright character on many TV show in the past, she showed a much more tough and 'straightforward character.'
She gave another deep impression when she visited a mental hospital to find Kim Soo Hyun(Lee bo Young)'s daughter, Set Byul(Kim Yu Bin), and pretended to be a mentally challenged girl.
The general atmosphere of 'God's Gift' was dark, but Han Sun Hwa's appearance gave it a bit of brightness. Jenny, who ends up getting a crush on Gi Dong Chan, never hesitated expressing her love, and her loveliness turned the dark atmosphere much brighter.
Even when she was sick, she started slapping herself in order to help Gi Dong Chan, and her unchanging love for him deeply touched many people.
On the other hand, Lee Jun, who is casting in 'Gap Dong,' which premiered on April 11th, showed phenomenal psychopath actings. 'Gap Dong' is a drama that was motivated from a serial murder case, which took place in Hwasung, Gyeong-gi Province.
Lee Jun made a very successful debut as an actor through director Kim Gi Duk's movie, 'Rough Play,' and he made another major transformation through 'Gap Dong.'
Lee Jun showed various facial expressions, from an innocent smile, to a smile of imminent violence, and spookiness.
Lee Jun has always been showing witty and bright looks on other TV shows in the past, and many viewers are showing explosive reactions for Lee Jun's transformation.
Lee Jun said, "Casting as a psychopath is not an easy job for me, and I went through a lot of studies and practices before starting this drama. Thank you for showing me such great reactions."
He went on, "I am a singer and an actor at the same time, but I want people to see me as the character itself while I am participating in this drama. I will do my best to leave a deep trace in people's memories."
As such, Han Sun Hwa and Lee Jun have succeeded in showing another side of them without breaking the flow of the drama.
Now, a great number of viewers are showing huge anticipation for Han Sun Hwa and Lee Jun's next work.
