Hotei Tomayasu moves to London

18 May – Japanese guitarist Hotei Tomayasu would be moving to London to expand himself as an international artist.

According to Tokyo Hive, the 50-year-old musician announced on his official blog that he and his actress wife, Imai Miki, would be moving once they have completed all of their remaining activities in Japan.

"I have lived to pursue my dream. And this year as I celebrated my 50th birthday, that dream still continues to cheer me up. That dream is to travel the world. I want to go to London, the birthplace of rock'n'roll to try everything," said Hotei, who is expected to be leaving after his final performance at the Kitanomaru Nippon Budokan in June.

Hotei is also scheduled to perform solo at the Round House in England for the first time in 21 years.

Before his departure, Hotei would be hosting the All Night Nippon GOLD show for one night where he intends to share all that he can about his 50 years of experience.

"This time, no matter what, I will speak my mind and give fans one night of All Night Nippon GOLD filled with (my) personality. As it has been a while since I have done a live broadcast, I am a bit nervous, but please listen to me live on the radio," Hotei said.
