27 Apr – It was revealed that an idol group trainee is among the contestants on the Korean version of the famous cooking reality TV show, "Masterchef".

As reported on Allkpop website, the said "Masterchef Korea" contestant is a 21-year-old Oh Jong-suk, known as the "Cooking Rapper" on the show. Oh is currently a trainee under SidusHQ – home to stars such as Cha Tae-hyun and Jay Park, and is set to debut with a four to five 4-5 member group.

Oh Jong-suk revealed his admiration for his father by saying, "When I was going through a rough time, my father taught me how to cook. Cooking helped me to get through my hardships."

In response to the judges' concerns with his current state of career, the American-born hopeful stated, "I love cooking as much as I love music. I want to win and open up a restaurant for my father. If I get accepted, I will inform my company CEO to delay my debut so that I can focus on cooking."

"Masterchef Korea" will be airing on O'live starting from 27 April.
