Itano Tomomi's horrible fever
16 Apr – AKB48 member Itano Tomomi had to take a rest for three days when she suffered a serious bout of fever that needed treatment from the hospital.
According to Tokyo Hive, Tomomi Tweeted that she was feeling feverish after a vaccination at a hospital on 5 April. The next day, she confirmed that she had a fever and went to the hospital to get an infusion.
Later on her blog, Tomomi apologised to fans that turned up for a handshake event on 7 and 8 April which she could not attend due to her fever.
"I'm sorry I have troubled everyone. Especially to everyone who came to the handshake events yesterday and the day before. I'm very sorry," she wrote.
She also said that she suffered from a swollen tonsil and an ulcer in her mouth.
"My fever has finally come down. But a mouth ulcer? Something like that has formed in my throat and mouth. Right now, it hurts to eat and drink. I'm fighting myself," she added.
