IU to Return with ‘Modern Times’
Shedding her nation’s younger sister image, IU unveiled new teaser photos for her upcoming album titled, Modern Times.
On September 17, Loen Entertainment announced, “IU will officially be restarting promotions as a singer on October 7 with her third album, Modern Times. Ahead of the release, we will be releasing unique illustrated guide maps with hints about the third album, as well as IU’s teaser images.”
The illustrated guide maps include hints about the album’s tracklist, catching much attention.
But what was more eyecatching was IU’s sophisticated transformation from her innocent image to something more mature with smoky eye makeup, leather outfits, and kill heels.
The third album was created for nine months under the lead of producer Jo Young Chul, and includes different genres of music including jazz, bossa nova, swing, Latin pop, and folk.
