Iwasa Misaki promotes single at train station

4 Aug – AKB48 member Iwasa Misaki held a promotional event for her solo debut single "Mujin Eki" at the unstaffed train station of Kuniyoshi in the Chiba Prefecture.

According to Tokyo Hive, Iwasa acted as the train conductor of a special train called "Wasamin-gou" for the day with 40 selected passengers. They travelled from the Kuniyoshi Station to the Ohara Station, which took about 20 minutes.

Iwasa said that it was a reckless dream of hers to be about to have an event at a "Mujin Eki", which means unstaffed train station for her solo debut single.

"Since I made my debut with 'Mujin Eki', I had a reckless wish to hold an event at an empty train station in my hometown, Chiba. I'm extremely happy to make it come true," she said.

"It's my first time being 'something' for a day. I had yearned for it, so today has become the best memory of my summer. Just from today, I learned a lot about Isumi Railway. It made me think about how interesting railways are. I might become a railway otaku," she added.

Iwasaki also performed "Mujin Eki", an enka version of "Heavy Rotation" and a cover of Jounouchi Sanae's "Ajisai Bashi" for the 1,500 fans who attended the event, followed by a handshake and commemorative stamp event.
