Jackie Chan thanks fans for cash donation

25 Apr – Jackie Chan recently expressed his gratitude towards fans who have made some cash donation for his birthday.

As reported on Daily Times, the action superstar recently turned to his Facebook page to voice his happiness with the donations for his Dragon's Heart Build a School project.

In the post, Jackie complimented his fans for understanding his love of charity, and decided to donate their money to his school project instead of buying him gifts.

Jackie also revealed that he was only able to count the donation recently, and was positively surprised by the amount of over HKD 90,000 (approx. USD 11,608).

He stated, "As I promised before, for every dollar you donate, I will match it with another dollar. And if you donate a dollar that is attached to a picture (see here), I will match it with two dollars because I will keep your pictures to put in my art gallery for everyone in the world to see."

Thanking fans for the second time, Jackie revealed that he has already written a cheque to match the amount.

The money will be donated to the Dragon's Heart Charitable Foundation, along with the proceeds from the sales of his "Making of CZ12" limited edition Commemorative Book that fans bought on their visit to his JC Film Gallery in Shanghai, which amounted to HKD 50,000 (USD 6,449).
