Jang Dong-gun invited to Cannes

28 Apr – It was revealed that actor Jang Dong-gun and director Heo Jin-ho will be going to the 65th Cannes International Film Festival.

According to Korea.com, the director and star of upcoming film "Dangerous Liaisons" have been selected for the festival's Director's Fortnight. However, Jang's representative stated, "Jang Dong-gun is currently shooting for the drama "A Gentleman's Dignity" and therefore we are not sure if he would be attending."

This would be Jang's second time to Cannes if he would indeed attend the festival, the first on being a production report conference for his film, "My Way". But this would be the first time he is officially invited for the red carpet.

"Dangerous Liaisons" is an adaptation of French author Choderlos De Laclos' novel starring Jang Dong-gun and Zhang Ziyi.

The 65th Cannes International Film Festival will be held next month starting on 16 May.
