Jang Dong Gun Says His Semi-Nude Scene Turned Out Better than He Thought
Jang Dong Gun talked on how nervous he felt about baring his chest.
The actor attended the press roundtable for SBS’ A Gentleman’s Dignity held on June 22 and opened up on his recent ‘nude’ scene.
In the June 10 broadcast of A Gentleman’s Dignity, Kim Do Jin (Jang Dong Gun), who had taken off his clothes to take a shower, caught Seo Yi Su (Kim Ha Neul) up in his arms when she ran into the bathroom to avoid Lee Jung Rok (Lee Jong Hyuk).
Jang Dong Gun said about the scene, “Personally, I felt really pressured. I thought I wouldn’t look good because I had lost a lot of weight. I was really pressured when filming that scene. Fortunately, I think it turned out better than I thought, so it was okay.”
He added, “I chose this drama because I wanted to try a lighter role than my previous heavy ones. I approached the role the same way I did [before], but as time passed I realized there was no need to do so. It took me some time to adapt but now I’m having fun.”
“I actually stayed up for two nights before coming here,” he said. “I wanted to be in a better condition, but I’m still having fun on set.”
Jang Dong Gun’s role Kim Do Jin is a man that has everything anyone could ask for, such as good looks and a great background. The humorous air he puts on in his crush on Seo Yi Su contrast with his perfect looks and is helping his viewers discover a new side to him never seen before.
