Jang Keun Suk Takes Over China through the Web

Jang Keun Suk, the ‘Prince of Asia’ is close to becoming the ‘Prince of the World’, and has taken over China online.

Jang Keun Suk recently visited China to appear in Happy Camp’s Jang Keun Suk special, put together to celebrate the show’s 15th anniversary.

In a separate live interview held through Weibo on June 13, his presence brought on a record-breaking number of fan users, even heating up the country online.

He set a new record by receiving 312,578 questions for the live interview, substantially higher than the 203,049 questions the Taiwanese band Mayday had received on March 14.

This isn’t the only time the actor has been on Weibo, as early this month he managed to gather more than 3 million followers for his own account on the social network.

Jang Keun Suk was welcomed by crowds of fans at the airport when he entered the country, and was the center of attention among fans and press stalking him around.

In the midst of the explosive interest, he managed to get through the filming for Happy Camp held on June 12 and the live Weibo interview held on June 13 with his characteristic wit.

Happy Camp is the most popular variety program in China, and its Jang Keun Suk special will air for 90 minutes on the evening of June 16.
