Jay Chou's nunchucks confiscated by Australian customs

16 Apr – Taiwanese entertainer Jay Chou left the Australian airport in a bad mood after his nunchucks were confiscated by the customs officials.

As reported on People News Agency, the singer was at the country for the Sydney-leg of his world tour.

The singer had brought 28 sets of nunchucks for his performance, but was shocked when they were confiscated. He often uses them while performing his hit song, "Nunchaku" and thus far they did not pose any issues in other countries, however they were considered to be a weapon by the Australian customs.

To add insult to injury, Jay and his entourage were also interrogated by the authorities at the airport.

Heavily affected by the incident, Jay did not even stop to wave or say hello to fans waiting for him at the airport, and went straight into his car and left.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the singer has sought the assistance of the organiser as well as his Australian fans to purchase new nunchucks, and was able to bring the new ones just in time.
