4 Dec – Jaycee Chan, who is still detained in Beijing after being arrested for drug use in August this year, turned 32 on 3 December, but could only receive a birthday wish from his mother, as he is still not allowed to receive visitors.
As reported on Tencent Entertainment, the actor's mother, Joan Lin, was only able to send her message to her son through their legal representative, and took the opportunity to express her love and support.
According to sources, Jaycee's personality has begun to change since his detention.
The actor has started reading a lot of books ranging from literature, film-related topics, as well as books of finance and information technology.
Reportedly, Jaycee has borrowed more than a 100 books for the 113 days he has been in detention.
In addition to reading, he has also been writing scripts and actively writing songs. Sources claimed that Joan told her friends that she believes Jaycee has changed for the better.
