Joe Ma plans to renew per-series contract with TVB

17 Nov – Joe Ma disclosed that there is a possibility for him to renew his per-series contract with TVB, after the previous one ended just recently.

As reported on On CC News, speaking to the media at the wrap-up party of his new series, "Smooth Talker" recently, Joe said, "I am currently in the midst of negotiating [with TVB]. Money is important!"

Asked if he has conditions as to the kind of project that he would like, Joe replied, "It's not that critical. But my character in this series is very good. It's rare for the audience to see me play a triad boss."

While he does have interest to work in mainland China, Joe said that his main focus is Hong Kong.

"I feel quite lonely when I am in the mainland. But I know everybody in TVB, so it always feel familiar and more delightful," he said.

In related news, "Smooth Talker" is scheduled for broadcast in May next year. Kate Tsui, Elena Kong, and Johnson Lee co-star.
