Johnson Lee to play Mr. Q

18 Jun – Hong Kong actor-celebrity impersonator Johnson Lee recently revealed that though there may not be another season of the popular prank show, "Office of Practical Jokes", for the time being, he is currently planning to make a live-action movie based on one of Hong Kong's famous comic characters.

As reported on HK Top Ten, the actor shared, "I'll be participating in a live-action version of "Old Master Q" in August. I have always wanted to try a comic adaptation a la Disney so that the families throughout world can watch it."

When asked what role he will be playing, the actor said that he will be playing the titular character, with sexy actress Ellen Chan and his agency's star, 9-year-old child actor Crystal Lee, to play roles in the film as well.

When asked if there will be a place for Miss Chan (Mr. Q's love interest) in the movie, Johnson answered in the positive but refused to clarify if Ellen Chan, whom he was rumoured to be dating, will be playing the role.

Meanwhile, when asked if his girlfriend Lukian Wong will be joining the cast, Johnson laughed and said, "If I have the right character, I can cast her and see how it goes. But I wouldn't just write up a character so that she can be in it."

Created by Alfonso Wong, "Old Master Q" is a popular Chinese comic that has been running in the newspapers and magazines in Hong Kong since 1962, and is still in publication today.
