JYJ and Gong Hyo-jin are "Mario Kart 7" models

8 May – It was revealed that the JYJ members and actress Gong Hyo-jin have been chosen to be the campaign models for Nintendo's new game, "Mario Kart 7" - to be released in late May.

According to Dkpopnews website, Nintendo Korea explained that they have chosen the former DBSK members as they believed JYJ would be able to easily show the special features of the new game, since the group is known to have enjoyed previous versions of the game. Meanwhile, they also believed that Gong Hyo-jin's transformation into Mario in her "Super Mario Land 3D" promotions also fit in perfectly with the upcoming game.

It was also reported that the trio and Gong Hyo-jin first met awkwardly through this advertising campaign, but as they began playing "Mario Kart 7," the atmosphere became brighter. The four thoroughly enjoyed playing the game, with the members of JYJ giving Hyo-jin a quick lesson on the game.

Meanwhile, Nintendo's latest game console Nintendo 3DS was released on the 28th of last month with various games such as "Super Mario 3D Land" while "Mario Kart 7" is expected to be released late-May.
