JYJ to Perform at the Presidential Inauguration

Alongside Psy, JYJ will be performing at the 18th Presidential Inauguration on February 25.

According to the 18th Presidential Inauguration Preparation Committee on February 15, artists will perform songs that represent each decade since 1950s to present.

The 1950-1960s and 1970-1980s will be represented by a talented group of musical actors as well as Jang Yoon Jung and Sonya. A special flashmob is scheduled to take place.

JYJ will be taking over for the 1990s to 2000s, singing Seo Taiji and Kid’s classic, I Know as well as a remix of representative songs of the 90s and Oh Pilseung Korea.

Lastly, Psy will decorate the finale with his own songs, such as Champion and Gangnam Style.

On being given the opportunity for JYJ to perform, a C-Jes Entertainment staff member stated, “We’re very grateful to be able to participate in a national ceremony as artists, representing a decade. We promise to prepare thoroughly and provide a good performance.”

There is a high chance they will appear on all three major broadcasting companies for the first time since 2010.

The ceremony will begin at 9:20 AM (KST) on February 25.
