Kingdom Yuen is afraid of Stephen Chow
17 Nov – Though she has worked with Stephen Chow in a lot of movies, comedy actress Kingdom Yuen recently admitted that she feels intimidated whenever she's around the comic genius.
According to Mingpao News, the actress, who appeared on a talk show recently to talk about her experience in showbiz, stated, "I have learned a lot from Stephen in my 30 years of acting. He really has a good grasp of the comedic pace. Compared to him, I was like an elementary school student."
"Once, he even performed the comedy routine he wanted me to do because I couldn't understand him, but I still couldn't do it as good as him," she said.
Kingdom disclosed that while she always showed confidence in front of the comedy man, she was actually afraid of him, and still is.
"Maybe that's why he hasn't offered me a role in his movies these past few years," she added.
Kingdom has worked with the actor in various films in the '90s, including "Forbidden City Cop", "God of Cookery", and "Hail the Judge".
