Komuro Tetsuya to write new song for AKB48
3 Aug - Renowned Japanese music producer Komuro Tetsuya has offered to collaborate with AKB48 producer Akimoto Yasushi for a new song for the idol group.
According to Tokyo Hive, Komuro extended the invitation to Akimoto on the latter's Google+ account on 25 July, to see if he was interested in using a song by Komuro.
Akimoto replied that they should go for a drink after a long time.
Komuro has previously collaborated with big name Japanese artists such as Namie Amuro, Kudo Kumi, Ayumi Hamasaki, TM Network and Yoshiki from X Japan.
Komuro and Akimoto had previously collaborated to produce a single for Yashiki Takajin titled "Sonotoki no Sora" in November 2010.
