Li Yapeng is said to have lived off Faye Wong
19 Sep – There are currently a lot of speculations about Faye Wong and Li Yapeng's divorce, and one of the rumours alleged that the Chinese actor had relied on his wife to pay all his bills throughout their eight-year marriage.
As reported on Now News website, Li Yapeng revealed through his Weibo that he and his ex-wife Faye Wong will not have any financial conflicts after the split since the two of them have maintained separate bank accounts since their marriage.
However, a source claiming to be a friend of Faye's stated that that was not the case, and that the singer had been helping Li to pay all his credit card bills for his night club and television businesses.
Hinting that the 41-year-old actor has been living off his wife, the source stated, "Li Yapeng has been borrowing money from his wife to pay his dues, which is almost half of Faye's NTD 250 million (approx. USD 8.4 million) savings."
However, the claim was recently dismissed by Li Yapeng's good friend, Taiwanese actor Chen Chao-jung, who said, "The allegation is ridiculous. Yapeng's real-estate business has been doing really well. He doesn't need Faye's help."
