Lisa Lau upset by negative comments
10 Aug – TVB newcomer Lisa Lau recently admitted that she was extremely heartbroken with criticism against her made by irresponsible Netizens.
As reported on Mingpao News, the "Black Heart White Soul" actress and former beauty pageant contestant, has been slammed by Netizens for her allegedly bad acting and accused of going under the knife.
In an interview with the media recently, Lisa said that while she was truly upset by the comments made on her micro blog, she has no way of hindering people's freedom of speech, as long as they don't involve her family.
"The criticisms have been very painful. People having opinions about my drama are fine. But when they involve my family, it's really hard to take," said Lisa.
"A friend of mine proposed that I turn off the comments section or delete those messages but I want to be strong enough to face everything. You see, sometimes fans also make you happy by giving you comfort and encouragement," the actress continued.
In regard to the plastic surgery rumour, Lisa said that she has never done any. "It was just the make-up for "Black Heart White Soul". In the series, I had thick foundation, long hair and some eye make-up. Even I was surprised to see how it changed my look on TV."
Meanwhile, the series' producer also came to her defence, saying that Lisa is still a new actress and has more room for improvement.
