Louis Koo will keep on working hard despite Jackie's joke

17 Apr – Jackie Chan recently made fun of Louis Koo while presenting for the Best Film category at the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards.

While telling the audience that he has never won best actor for the 53 years he has been in the business, Jackie turned to another multi-time nominee, Louis Koo and joked, "Don't be disappointed. You have me to keep you company."

Though it was only a joke and Jackie's own way of cheering "The White Storm" actor up, many of Louis' fans felt that it was unbecoming for him to say it.

However, as reported on Mingpao, Louis recently clarified that he has no bad feelings about Jackie's statement and said that he will consider it an encouragement and continue to work hard.

When asked if he will deliberately choose challenging characters to win an award, Louis replied, "I have always looked into the characters when choosing a script. But at the same time, I don't intentionally do that to win awards."

"For me, the most important thing is for the film industry to make good movies. In regards to a movie's fate and arrangements, I don't really think too much about it," said Louis.
