Maggie Cheung slammed again for poor vocal performance

6 May – Despite her effort to showcase her musical talent, Hong Kong actress Maggie Cheung experienced another setback during her performance at the Strawberry Music Festival, held in Shanghai and Beijing.

According to Mingpao, the actress who was previously slammed by her critics for her 'uninspiring' vocals, spent many hours rehearsing for her debut at the music festival.

The actress performed a rendition of Teresa Teng's "Tian Mi Mi", Rihanna's "Stay" and her own song, "Visionary Heart" at the festival that was held on 1 May in Shanghai.

However, it was reported that the concert-goers were disappointed with her low-pitched voice and flat performance that many of them walked off in the middle of her show.

In another attempt to win her fans' heart, Maggie performed at the Beijing venue of the said music fest too, but the dangerous strong winds that hit the city that night caused the organiser to stop her after only performing two songs.
