Three decades after becoming a cult figure in the Soviet Union with DISCO DANCER, Mithun Chakraborty is back in that land. This time around he has taken his son Mahaakshay for company as the father-son duo would be churning out performances for the local crowds.

"The event would also mark a 30 year celebration that would traverse from Mithunda's DISCO DANCER to Mahaakshay's ENEMMY," informs a source.

The event would take place at Tashkent, Uzbekistan and since Mithun stays on to be a popular figure in this part of the world, he plans to introduce his son as well to the natives of this region.

"While he would be obviously dancing to the tunes of DISCO DANCER, there is much more to that. Not many are aware that recently Mahaakshay also made his debut in a Bengali film ROCKY in which Mithun too had a guest appearance. The father-son duo would also be dancing to the hit tune of its title song 'Rocky bhai' which would be followed by promotion of Ashu Trikha's ENEMMY," the source continues.

The entire Chakraborty family is gearing up for it, more so since Mahaakshay's younger brother Ushmey, an aspiring director, is also accompanying them.

Says a source close to the family, "Given the fact that CIS has started showing keen interest in picking up Bollywood films, case in point being Ranbir Kapoor's YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI all set to release there and Saif's COCKTAIL still going strong, it only makes sense for Chakraborty to go back there and bring back the memories. After all, it was DISCO DANCER that had set the tone."
