Malaysian-born Angie Cheung hopes to return to showbiz

14 Jun – Malaysian-born actress Angie Cheung revealed that working on TVB's "Never Dance Alone" after a ten-year hiatus has rekindled her love for acting.

"I really hope to make a comeback," said the actress, according to On CC. "I hope to create a new chapter in my acting career."

Angie, who had been focusing on her business in mainland China and her adopted son, Hanson, before she was offered a role in the series, revealed that she wanted to play a bigger role in the future, especially as a single mother, a role which she knows best.

"I want to try and play a role of a single mother. I think I can incorporate my personal experience and present real feelings to the viewers," said Angie.

The actress, who had given up her mainland business to open a mini market in Hong Kong so that Hanson can have a better education in the area, also revealed that the medical expenses for her son's heart disease takes a large part of her monthly expenses.

Thus, Angie hopes that she will be able to afford both his treatment and education by re-entering showbiz.

In regards to her love life, Angie expressed, "I have not found the right man. But I am not lonely. Hanson is my greatest companion and comfort."
