MC Mong back for last court hearing

MC Mong back for last court hearing

2 Mar – It was reported that MC Mong has returned from his brief trip to the States in order to face his last court hearing mid-March.

According to Allkpop, although MC Mong was acquitted for charges of military service law violations last year, he was found guilty on charges of unlawful interference, as he delayed his military enlistment without a valid reason. Therefore, he was sentenced to six months of prison, one year of probation and 120 hours of service.

However, the prosecution could not accept MC Mong's 'not-guilty' verdict regarding the matter, and had decided to appeal. As a result, MC Mong must return to the courts in March for the final appeals hearing.

Sources said, "He's experiencing an endless period of darkness. After the March hearing, I think things will finally start to wind down. He's not even thinking of returning to broadcast or the entertainment industry."

It was singer Kim Jang-hoon who sent MC Mong on vacation to America to take a break from this hard-pressed situation that had lasted for about a year and four months to date.
