Niki Chow inks East Asia Music deal

13 July - Hong Kong's all-around entertainer Niki Chow has officially joined a new records company named East Asia Music recently, which is her second records company after the termination of her contract with BMA Hong Kong.

It was understood that her contract's termination was due to a dispute between BMA and TVB, so the 33-year-old artiste decided to give up her contract all together back in 2011, and concentrate on her part in the TVB period drama titled "Bottled Passion". The television drama was slated to air in late 2011, and has just ended its run on 2 January 2012 with a total of 21 episodes.

It seems that Niki's move is not unwise, as many famous Hong Kong singers which includes Leon Lai, Andy Lau, Miriam Yueng and Sammi Cheng, are also under East Asia Music's umbrella. However, Niki insisted that she will not give up her acting career, and will continue to join one or two TVB dramas every year.
