"Painted Skin 3" begins preparation
14 Jul – The current success of Chinese film "Painted Skin 2: Resurrection" has launched preparatory work for the third instalment of "Painted Skin", according to Chinese media.
"Painted Skin 2: Resurrection" has gained tremendous success at the Chinese box office for bringing in RMB 3 billion (USD 47 million) in just 4 days.
Rumour has it that the main focus of "Painted Skin 3" would be the story of Pang Lang, the character portrayed by Feng Shaofeng. Chinese Netizens believe the rumour is likely to be true as "Painted Skin 2" has already provided subtle hints on the future of his character.
However, Feng said he is not looking forward to "Painted Skin 3" as he feels there is a better person to portray his character.
Meanwhile, informed sources say that Feng's recent disappearance is due to his involvement in another fantasy film. In the film, he is expected to complete most of the action sequences without any stand-ins.
