Psy Gets a Call from Justin Bieber’s Agency in the U.S
Everyone knows Gangnam Style has successfully spilled over to America, but it’s still surprising to hear that Psy recently even got a call from the agency that looks over Justin Bieber.
Gangnam Style, from Psy’s sixth studio album Psy 6 甲 Part 1, has been getting music fans across the world to party along with its bouncy beat. The music video has especially been gathering interest in America even though Psy has never promoted the song in the country.
It seems Justin Bieber’s agency took an interest in the rising K-Pop singer and tried to get in touch with him.
Nothing has been decided on yet, but many have been guessing that perhaps the singer is close to striking up a deal to step into America as it was the agency that contacted him first.
A source close to Psy told enews, “It is true that Psy got a call from Justin Bieber’s agency, but no specific offers have been made and nothing has been decided on yet.”
Big American stars such as T-Pain, Robbie Williams and Josh Groban have promoted Gangnam Style’s music video through their personal social networks and blogs.
T-Pain especially tweeted about the music video twice, saying that ‘words cannot even describe how amazing this video is’.
On August 3, CNN reported on the Gangnam Style boom, and even had a correspondent in New York testify on the great interest being paid to the singer.
One reporter said, “I have to admit I’ve watched [the music video] about 15 times,” and, “I have to admit I can’t wait to try [the ‘horse-ride dance’] out in my own living room later on tonight.”
The Huffington Post also said about the music video in the title of its article, ‘K-Pop Star′s Viral Comeback Is Impossible To Resist’.
With his first all-kill on the Korean music charts, Psy seems to be ready now to take on the world.
