Psy Returns to Korea after a Successful Bout in the States
Psy, the man currently soaring around the world with his single Gangnam Style, returned to Korea after discussing his venture to the States.
The singer returned to Korea through Incheon International Airport on the morning of August 25, and announced his arrival to the press with his horse ride dance.
He had left for America on August 15 for a family trip and to look over opportunities for him to step into the country.
Psy met with local music officials and appeared on VH1’s morning show Big Morning Buzz Alive to show off his horse ride dance from Gangnam Style.
He spoke in fluent English to promote himself and brighten possibilities of his success in the country. His fluency in English is expected to help Psy along with his success, which sprouted from the popularity of his music video on YouTube.
On August 20, Psy dropped by the baseball game between the LA Dodgers and the SF Giants at the LA dodgers Stadium and performed the horse ride dance in the dance session that took place in the middle of the fifth inning. The session proved the global popularity that Gangnam Style is currently enjoying.
Psy plans to visit America again early September.
Since releasing his music video for Gangnam Style on July 25, Psy has been set at the center of a global phenomenon as the video has garnered more than 50 million views on YouTube.
Psy broke records by gathering the most views in the shortest time ever out of all Korean singers, and the video has continued to gather even more views by the day.
