Ron Ng out to save relationship

9 June – Hong Kong TVB actor Ron Ng was spotted in the airport after his Chinese girlfriend Viann Zhang had posted a cryptic message on her Weibo that implied that the couple's rocky relationship is over.

According to Jayne Stars, Ron was believed to have taken a flight to Beijing, where Viann is currently shooting a drama series produced by Cecilia Cheung, in a last ditch effort to save their relationship, after Zhang posted a message on 5 June, saying that a woman's happiness is dependent on the man she is with.

The message read, "Falling in love with a bad man will give you painful grief. Falling in love with a good man will let you live with smiles and happiness. With the constant smile on your face, you will grow more beautiful."

While this had led some to speculate that it was a goodbye message from Zhang to Ng, Zhang later clarified that it was only a reflection of her thoughts after reading the drama's script and listening to a friend's experience.

Ng and Zhang's relationship has been hit with unfavourable sentiments since it was revealed back in August 2011. Enraged fans of Ng had relentlessly tried to discredit Zhang's prospects as a wife by posting up vulgar photos of the actress when she was young and urging them to break up their relationship as quickly as possible.

However, Ng had stood by Zhang despite Zhang's online aggression against Ng's fans and her obvious lack of security in the relationship.
