Roy Cheung arrested for drugs
11 Jul – The Chinese media recently reported that Hong Kong actor Roy Cheung has been arrested for alleged drug abuse.
As reported by Tencent Entertainment News on 2 July, the Beijing authority and the Chaiyang Narcotics Corps booked the actor while he was staying in a hotel in Beijing, and were able to seize more than a gram of marijuana in his luggage.
It was also revealed that a urine sample was taken from Roy and it tested positive for marijuana.
An insider claimed that Roy was in Hebei to attend a friend's wedding before he was arrested upon his return to Beijing.
The 51 year-old actor has acted in more than 90 movies, including "Prison on Fire", the third, fourth and sixth instalments of "Young and Dangerous", and the "Infernal Affairs" trilogy.
