Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar to make two more films

This love story has worked at the box office, and it is not just restricted to 2 STATES. Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar, who collaborated and pooled in resources for 2 STATES, have managed to strike gold. Buoyed by the success of the Arjun Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer, the producers are coming together for two more films now.

In principle there was always an understanding that after 2 STATES, Sajid and Karan would come together again. Both have agreed that co-productions is in-thing and if there is good understanding and relationship between two filmmakers, it is progressive to make films together. Super-success of 2 STATES has further established the camaraderie that they share and it is time to move on to the next level.

Sajid as well as Karan have been quite vocal about their partnership for 2 STATES. Moreover, since both of them are hands-on producers instead of just being Mr. Moneybags, their creative involvement further rubs upon the final product.

"Karan has already made films with Anurag Kashyap while Sajid too collaborated with Imtiaz Ali recently. All of these (THE LUNCHBOX, HIGHWAY) were offbeat affairs though whereas 2 STATES was out and out commercial. This can be also seen in the box office outcome of 2 STATES which is now marching towards the 75 crore mark. This would be one of the top successes for Nadiadwala Grandson and Dharma Productions," a trade source adds.

While an official announcement is on the anvil, it is pretty much an expectation that their newer films would have a star appeal to them and set as out and out commercial entertainers.
