Shirley Yeung denies selling beer for income

19 Aug – Hong Kong actress Shirley Yeung may have taken all kinds of gigs to pay her bills and take care of her young daughter, but she says selling beer at a mainland night market is not one of them.

As reported on Mingpao News, the actress dismissed rumours of her supposed new profession and clarified, "We were not selling beers there. The brand belongs to the organiser of an event I attended. So we distributed the beers as souvenirs at the place while performing there as well."

The actress stressed that the whole event was safe and that there were lots of other artistes who have performed at the location before her.

"I have been there several times already. It's a safe place. No strange things had happened to us and we were there only as performers," said Shirley.
