6 Dec – Nearly a month after her forced break due to a lesbian love scandal, it was reported that actress Sire Ma will finally appear in public for the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards.
As reported on Mingpao on 4 December, TVB Executive Virginia Lok revealed that she has already met with Sire and the actress' mother to discuss how Sire can address the scandal publicly before the anticipated annual event.
Lok revealed, "The three of us talked about scheduling her public appearances where she can meet everybody, although a press conference is out of the question. We will do it as soon as possible since she is also nominated for the Anniversary Awards."
However, Lok dismissed continuous allegations that the actress has been forced to go on hiatus, and added, "We respect our artistes' personal life. But anybody can make mistakes. As long as she does not commit any crimes, we will continue to support her and give her a chance."
Earlier in November, good girl Sire Ma was involved in a love triangle involving female mainland producer, Wang Ziqi and the latter's girlfriend Laura Lee, after meeting them during a summer vacation in Europe.
Despite denying rumours of her sexual orientation, the actress later was filmed kissing Wang passionately on the street in Shanghai. It resulted with the actress being slammed on Weibo and called a liar.
It was also reported that Sire lost several endorsement deals because of the scandal, prompting Virginia Lok to step in and order Sire to take a two-month break while they sort out the problem.
