SNSD’s Sooyoung Says ‘I AM’ Film Helped Her Regain Focus

Girls’ Generation (SNSD) member Sooyoung revealed that seeing herself during her trainee days in SM Entertainment’s upcoming film I AM has helped her regain her focus.

Sooyoung was among the slew of SM artists in attendance at the showcase for the agency’s upcoming film, which was held at the Yeongdeungpo CGV Starium on April 30, and she spoke about how the film impacted her.

“I saw a side to myself that even I didn’t know,” revealed Sooyoung before joking, “The director caught my weak point.”

The SNSD member continued to explain, “I was so busy with SNSD promotions that I didn’t have the chance to think back on the past, but watching the clip from my trainee days has enabled me to regain focus.”

Sooyoung added, “I thought, ‘I was able to come this far because I trained like this.’ While I AM is a gift for the fans, it’s a gift I am receiving as well. I’m thankful to the director.”

I AM has set out to shed a new light on some of SM’s beloved artists, offering fans an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how they came to be the K-Pop stars they are today. The film will hit theaters in May.
