So Ji Sub and Choi Daniel Become Friends for ‘Ghost’

So Ji Sub and Daniel Choi became best buds in their drama, but they had to bridge a big age difference to do so.

So Ji Sub and Daniel Choi attended the press conference for the upcoming SBS drama Ghost held on May 22.

Daniel Choi said with an awkward smile, “I received an offer to appear as a cameo, but I’ve come to the press conference. I’m supposed to be a genius hacker, and I came here because my role is fairly important. I’m supposed to be friends with So Ji Sub sunbaenim (senior). He looks really young. Anyway that’s how it is.”

So Ji Sub was born in the year 1977 and Choi Daniel in 1986, meaning that the two had to reach across a nine year age difference to become same-age friends.

On this So Ji Sub said, “I’m almost 10 years older than Choi Daniel, but we appear as friends. I’m sorry,” making his audience burst out in laughter.

Ghost is a drama about the workings of a cyber investigation unit, and stars So Ji Sub, Lee Yeon Hee, Uhm Ki Joon, Kwak Do Won and Daniel Choi. So Ji Sub will act as the leader of a cyber investigation team, Kim Woo Hyun, while Daniel Choi appears as the genius hacker Hades and the head of the newspaper True Story, Park Ki Young.
