Bollywood actor and entrepreneur Sunil Shetty, who was born in the year 1961, turned 51 years on Saturday.

The 'He-Man' of Bollywood started his career with the film BALWAAN in 1992.

In between 1992 and 1994, he did a few films, but his first major hit was MOHRA (1994), where he shared the screen with Naseeruddin Shah, Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon.

The actor starred in films like REFUGEE, LOC KARGIL, HERA PHERI, KAANTE, SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA and others.

Best known for his action hero image, the actor has also done many comedy movies like HERA PHERI, AWARA PAAGAL DEEWANA, PHIR HERA PHERI, and DE DANA DAN

Though not commercially successful, the actor's film RED ALERT: THE WAR WITHIN won various critical acclaim and Shetty won SAIFF (South Asia International Film Festival) for the film in 2009, in the category of Best Actor.

The actor also won a Filmfare Award for Best Villain in 2001 for his film DHADKAN.

The actor also produced films like, KHEL - NO ORDINARY GAME, RAKHT: WHAT IF YOU CAN SEE THE FUTURE, BHAGAM BHAG and others under the banner of his production company, Popcorn Motion Pictures Ltd.

The actor will soon be seen sharing his screen space with Govinda in CHAI GARAM.

The actor has a Black Belt in Kick Boxing and is also the captain of the Mumbai Heroes cricket team in the Celebrity cricket league.

Shetty is married to Mana Shetty and has two children named Ahan and Athiya.
