Sunny Wang and Zhang Li called it quits
23 Dec – Just when everything seemed perfect, Taiwanese model-actor Sunny Wang dropped a bomb that he and girlfriend, Chinese actress Zhang Li, have called it quits.
As reported on Phoenix News, the 32-year-old actor made the announcement during an event recently, when asked if he would be spending his Christmas with the actress.
The actor, who looked flustered as media kept on enquiring after the actress, finally replied, "I don't have a girlfriend anymore."
His manager later responded, saying that the two of them had 'cultural differences' and difficulties maintaining a long-distance relationship.
The couple started dating after filming the Chinese reality dating programme, "Perhaps Love", and was revealed to have been together since March this year.
Several Netizens claimed to have seen him travelling to Philippines with Taiwanese singer Cai Shi-yun recently, sparking rumours that the latter may be the reason for Sunny and Zhang's breakup.
