Super Girls down with influenza
24 Apr – Idol group Super Girls were forced to cancel the release event for their latest single "1,000,000 Smiles" when several members and staff were diagnosed with influenza.
According to Tokyo Hive, members Yasaka Saori, Kanou Kaeda, Maeshima Ami and several of the staff had taken ill earlier this week and were later diagnosed by doctors to be infected with Influenza B on 18 April.
As a result, the infected members would have to be quarantined for infection control and the group had to cancel all 11 events between 18 to 20 April. The group intends to make up for the cancelled events which would be announced on their official website.
