Taiwan host Jacky Wu dismisses allegations

5 Jul – Taiwan's famous television host Jacky Wu has decided to file a lawsuit against Apple Daily for publishing a false report claiming that he had a debt of more than NT$600million (USD 20million) and most of his properties had been seized by a district court.

According to Apple Daily, Chin Hsiang-Yu, one of Jacky's creditors had recently applied to the Taipei District Court for the seizure of all the properties under Jacky's name as well as his personal bank accounts.

The press added that the court action disclosed that Jacky has only NT$1.5 million (USD 50, 000) in his savings account and the rest have been seized by the court.

Soon after the Taiwanese host got word on this matter, he dismissed the allegations as 'nonsense', adding that he would sue the press for the irresponsible reporting.

Jacky said he is financially good, however, Jacky refused to further disclose his financial status when he was being asked to do so by the local reporter.
