A few days back it came to light that how Preity Zinta had to wrap up a crucial scene in 8 hours flat when the crew of ISHKQ IN PARIS shot in a moving train around the French alps. The makers of TEZZ though couldn't imagine doing something similar when they canned an action sequence in UK and ended up shelling out an enormous 1.5 crore.

"Shooting this crucial scene in just 1-2 days was out of question since just like Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor and Mohanlal, train too is akin to a character in the film. When director Priyadarshan consulted with the action directors for the days required to can the shoot, he was told to be prepared for 10 days," informs our source from the production team.

Since London is a costly place to shoot, the makers were asked to shell out Rs. 20 lakh on a daily basis. Though this was a huge expenditure, producer Ratan Jain agreed to it with an expectation that results would show on screen. "We hired at a train from the Railways Training Center and did our own interiors which further cost us some moolah. The good part was that the train was now at our disposal and we could use it as per our will and convenience," the source adds.

The shots, which are spread right through the film, were canned in 8 days though but not before a bill of 1.5 crore came Jain's way just as train rental charges, hence resulting in one of the costliest schedules for the film.

"Well, train is indeed crucial to TEZZ as there is something crucial happening there. While Mohanlal is in train, Ajay, Anil, Zayed and Sameera are outside. We had to coordinate with them all and it made sense that we get 'bulk dates' from the train as well," quips Ratan Jain, "Yes, it did cost a lot of money but it was all worth it."

Now let's hope audience too say the same.
